San Francisco Adventure Awaits

Plan Your Stay at Hotel Zoe in the Heart of the City

Sometimes we forget that some of the most amazing places are right in our own backyard!  Our trip to San Francisco was such a fun adventure, with many surprising activities that provided a trip full of family fun.  Many times our trips into the city are quick day trips that feel very rushed as we try to time our drive during light traffic hours, but staying a night made for a more relaxing experience!

Central to all the activities around Pier 39 and Fisherman’s Wharf is Hotel Zoe, a new, modern, boutique hotel that is perfect for families.  With valet parking, large and comfortable rooms, free coffee and refreshing fruit infused water, this hotel was very accommodating, making the travel process simple for parents who just sat in bay area traffic.

The concierge pointed us to the nearest bike rental site, Blazing Saddles (just 2 blocks away), getting us outdoors and seeing the city in a whole new way!  We rented two tandem bikes and explored the sites from Fisherman’s Wharf and Ghirardelli Square to Chrissy Field and the Golden Gate Bridge.  It was a gorgeous day, with the sun shining brightly over the bay, making for some perfect photo opportunities.

Back at Hotel Zoe, the fire pits in the courtyard were lit and guests visiting from all over the world were relaxing with a glass of wine and enjoying the evening by the fire.  Outdoor yard games were set up for the kids to enjoy while my husband and I visited with the other guests.  Many times at hotels I feel stuck in the room in the evenings, but I loved that Hotel Zoe had this central area for relaxing that was kid-friendly.

The next morning we were headed to Pier 39 to experience all the fun it had to offer.  Hotel Zoe stored all our luggage for us and we were able to keep our car valet'd until we were finished with our day’s activity.

Pier 39 is the premier entertainment destination in the heart of the San Francisco waterfront! We discovered sea creatures at the Aquarium of the Bay, had a street racing adventure in the 7D Experience, danced our way up the Musical Stairs, enjoyed a spin on the 2-story carousel, and even got pulled into a street performer show!  Be sure not to miss the Sea Lions at Pier 39, just round to the left as you come to the end of the pier and you’ll find the landing spot where all the sea lions like to lounge around and entertain the visitors.

Blue and Gold Fleet offers a Rocketboat adventure that was a highlight of our trip.  It is the ultimate high-speed thrill!  For 30 minutes, our entertaining boat captain blasted rock-n-roll music while he took us on a wild ride out and under the Bay Bridge.  This activity is offered from May through October, but if you’re visiting in the winter, there are SF Bay Cruise Adventures that are offered year round.

Next time you’re ready to plan a family weekend getaway, take a look at Hotel Zoe in the heart of San Francisco.  Their staff is eager to help you find your family fun with numerous options for adventure right outside their front door.
