| It’s that time of year again… the most WONDERFUL time of the year… when the Elf on the Shelf RETURNS! This little elf has taken on a life of its own in some households, and whether you’ve yet to bring home an elf or if you’re an elf pro, IHOP has got you covered for some extra magic this year. The Elf on the Shelf has partnered with IHOP and some adventurous Scout Elves snuck into the kitchen and whipped up some special treats just for you! Here are some tips to have The Elf on a Shelf family fun day:
Pull out your most favorite holiday clothes - Find those “ugly” Christmas sweaters, footed pajamas, or maybe you even have matching elf outfits! Putting on the holiday gear gets the whole family in a magical mood.
Set a holiday playlist - that’s right, you’ve been waiting ALL year to be able to listen to your favorite holiday tunes. Plug IHOP into your GPS and then sing those songs together at the top of your lungs to make it a magical trip.
Don’t drool over The Elf on the Shelf Menu - yes, the menu is simply magical with Jolly Cakes, Oh What Funnel Cakes, Holiday Ham & Sausage Omelettes, Merry Marshmallow Hot Chocolate and the Little Elves Combo for the kids! You can definitely plan more than one trip to IHOP to make sure you’ve enjoyed each and every menu item.
Get crafty - Head to IHOP between Friday, November 29 and Sunday, December 1 to join in the Welcome Back Breakfast. This is a celebration of welcoming the elves back into our homes for the holiday and IHOP’s across the country will be celebrating and during this weekend your child will get The Elf on the Shelf activity sheets! These placemats are given to each child and they can color an elf on one side, and then a picture search on the other… and the picture search is totally a family involved game (we did not find all the Arctic Foxes and it’s still bothering me).
Savor EVERY BITE - fluffy pancakes, sweet cream cheese icing, shimmery elf sprinkles, powdered sugar-dusted funnel cakes, glazed strawberries, and so much more! Just enjoy the silence as every devours their magical meals.
