Looking for a streaming service where you don’t have to worry about what your kids will have access to? I’ve had my issues with a few streaming services, worrying about parental controls and what my children might stumble upon if I’m not in the room. Since we are all homebound these days, I need to be able to have confidence that my kids are safely streaming while I am working in my home office or on a conference call. I’m so excited to share with you that I found that confidence in a new streaming service called Kidstream!
Right from their laptops, my kids have been able to stream these carefully curated and award-winning shows that spark their imagination and tap into their interests (Kidstream also has an app for Apple devices, and is available on Roku, Comcast, Amazon, Cox, and through the Kidstream website). My boys earn their Kidstream time from doing their regular school work, and then enjoy these unique, educational shows that provide strong values with no ads.
Here are some of our family’s top picks on Kidstream:
Max & Maestro
Do you have a child who loves music? My son plays the piano and he is glued to this show when it comes on and loves to tell me when he hears a piece of music that he knows how to play. Max is a kid who loves rap music and meets a great orchestra conductor. Together they explore the world of music through fun adventures!
Crafty Kids Club
My kids have watched me do DIY projects around the house for years, and now this fun, animated show is all about DIY creations. The kids in the show solve problems and help their friends with their do-it-yourself arts and crafts. My kids definitely get inspired by this show and have come up with some pretty fun creations.
Science Max!: Experiments at Large
Looking for some great content to teach science at home? Science Max is full of excitement as he takes his experiments to a whole new level with crazy designs. This show is quite the adventure and includes so much great content for your child to learn and enjoy.
Kidstream is easy to navigate for your child, with shows geared toward pre-school to 10 years old. Many of the pre-school shows you will recognize from our own childhood favorites like Madeline, Ella the Elephant and The Busy World of Richard Scarry.
